Noah's vacation

My poor Noah. Vacation was a 4-letter word to you this year. I'm not sure what went a-miss for you, but you had difficulty at nap time, night time, meal time, and all the times in between. The most fun you had was at the beach or in the pool. You loved carrying around the water bottle and spitting in the sand. You loved finding and chasing birds. You love, love, loved the water and Daddy taking you far, far out. But most of all on this trip, you loved Mommy. You stayed with me the entire time. I hope next year is better for you :(

Gavin's vacation...

Happy vacation, Gavin... What a good time you had! You love the beach and love the water. You swam in the pool-- this is the first time swimming with a noodle...what a great discovery, because you use it at home now. You loved to collect shells. You filled buckets, water bottles, coffee cups to the brim. And you made racetracks. And you dug holes. And you threw live fish to the seagulls. And you ran... you love to run... It was a struggle to keep you safely in shore, because you wanted to go far out into the ocean. You had a great time at the zoo on roller coasters. And 'Finding Nemo' was your go-to movie. And long walks for ice cream that you considered a 'date' with Mommy. Every day was a beach-pool-beach-pool kinda day with meals in between.

The absolute highlight (well, depending on the moment) of Gavin's trip... He SURFED! Well, technically boogie boarded, but who's gonna correct this kid that is so, so, so excited?

Back to our yearly vacations!!! Hello, Collins! Remember us? We vacationed in college, grad school, post marriage, and lastly the youngest two sun-bathed in utero... And now here we are, knocking it surf side in Madeira Beach at a motel. (I won't tell if you won't tell, let's go down to the motel...) Hmmm... maybe a little inappropriate? And maybe those verses are off... it might even say hotel.. oh,well. Look at those pictures, okay? I'm allowed to be a little off because Noah pretty much had that expression THE ENTIRE TIME!!!
