My little Noah is smilin'

Even with the superfast, no shutter lag camera, I miss the huge smiles!  But you can see the happy-look and the cooing look!  This little man LOVES to talk and grin!

There is a reason we women become mothers...

Yes, we toil for almost a year, heaving around a large belly, growing short of breath at each passing day, only to endure a torturous labor...all for this.  Love? Yes.  Even more though, we do it for the power to buy ridiculous matching Christmas pajamas and the crazy hats that match.  I love you, boys! (Can't wait for the opportune time in your young adult life to embarrass you with these too!)

Merry Christmas!

The Walden boys wore matching Christmas pajamas that has Santa in a helicopter on the front and "Ho Ho Ho" across the buttocks.  Noah's reads "My First Christmas" and Gavin's reads "Santa Copter."  I love Christmas pajamas!  Matthew better watch out next year... if I can find a family set, we will be in them!

Ut, oh! Is my Christmas tree dead?

I think so...
Please, Mr "didyousee" keep your needles until December 26th because I am cooking Christmas dinner at this house.  You are the primary symbol of Christmas.  Please, do your best to look somewhat green when my guests are chewing their standing rib roast servings.  Keep your distinctly pine smell when we eat red velvet cake.  Stand sraight when we sip our hot chocolate.  I promise we will burn you on December 26th and not until then.  Thank you.

Santa by firetruck, nonetheless!

After a very fun fireman birthday party (Thanks, Erin), we heard that Santa was touring the town in the back of a vintage firetruck in a firetruck parade!  We all hopped into the car and high-tailed it to see Santa!

Gavin really enjoyed the firetruck parade.  His favorite?  The lights... Noah on the other hand, slept.

Gavin felt a little uneasy about the whole Santa situation, so Daddy saved the day by sitting with Santa, too!  Merry Christmas.

My, my, my! What a big pile of leaves you have there!?!

Yes, yes.  My 75 year old grandparents pulled this prank on their 2 year old great-grandson.  And wouldn't you know?  He fell for it!  Scared the petunias out of him!  Then he laughed...

"Didyousee" cut, brought home, and decorated...

The search was on for our annual go-to-Pop's-house-and-cut-down-a-Florida-pine-and-call-it-a-genuine-Christmas-tree.  Or as Gavin calls it, a "didyousee."  Pop spends hours, upon hours during the summer shaping these pine trees (currently he has over 500) into Christmas trees.  Sure, other families go to Lowe's for a tree, but not us...

We (meaning Matt) SHRED ours with a chainsaw! Then drag it and shake out the needles...

All the while, the boys rode on the gator with Mom and Pop!  Noah, spent most of his time napping...

Gavin helped to string the lights and hang the ornaments while Noah looked on... blinking lights makes a newborn very happy.

And the tractors all have a wonderful resting place for the time being.

And let's not forget the very thoughtful John Deere ornaments that Mom and Pop gifted.  Gavin, especially likes them ;)

For my oldest son, who loves John Deere tractors; I think they made this ornament just for you, Gavin!

Happy No. 2 Gavin Matthew!!!

Saturday, November 28th, Gavin had a John Deere Birthday.  "Hay rides" were given in Pop's John Deere Gator.  Everyone dressed the part!  Ribs, 'tato salad, and baked beans were served along with a pull-apart cupcake cake.

Even the "trak-toes" made an appearance...

Brotherly love

Halloween

Amid chili, mummy hotdogs, and candy corn cupcakes (courtesy of PattyCake), we celebrated Halloween. Noah, a pea pod, and Gavin, a farmer with a broken down John Deere tractor, trick-or-treated around our little neighborhood.
Thank you Pop, Mom-maw, and Uncle Allen for making the John Deere!

Welcome to the world, Noah Allen Walden!!!

On October 26, 2009, Noah was born at 3:11 am weighing 9 pounds and 11 ounces. Kinda big for a gestational age of 37.5 weeks, huh? Guess I should have taken the doctor a little more seriously when he mentioned I was borderline diabetic. Maybe next time...

After a hiatus and new baby, Noah, Walden Spawn is back

So took almost a year off and in that time, ran a marathon, bought a house, and had another baby boy. How's that for a vacation? Here are three pictures to prove this update and I will say no more about it.
