Warning: This will be a rambling post...
First off: I am rasing boys. Who will turn into men. Men aren't clean (well, at least the ones I like). So, I encourage my boys to get dirty. Dirt. Mud. I like dirty boys. Noah is playing in a mud mound in our front yard. Don't ask me why we have a mud mound in our front yard... well, okay, here is the answer: my husband is dirty too. He makes mud mounds in our front yard.
Secondly: January ranks bottom of my monthly pile. If November is #1, January is #12. I dislike January. Quite a number of my people are born this month and for that I am sorry I dislike your month. But I do. It is just plain ugly. And anti-climatic. And cold. And dry. And I am uncommonly tired this time of year. So that is why my pictures are in black and white. Because the surroundings are dry and brown and ugly. Much better in black and white. I also dislike pine nuts; therefore, I dislike pesto. Makes me sad I dislike pesto. Maybe I should make some without pinenuts. January reminds me of pinenuts. I dislike mayo too, but I like stuff like chicken salad. I can hide mayo and still like the creation...but not January and pinenuts. They cannot be ignored.
Thirdly: I try to encourage myself to blog, but after the point above likely there will be a hiatus or a semi-hiberation of this blog until February. I like February. The red buds bloom. So do the oriental magnolias. And Valentine's Day. Lots of red this coming month. Red is my second favorite color (tied with green). Blue is my favorite followed by either green or red, depending on my mood. Right now, red is my second favorite color. And I really like Valentine's Day. No, I love Valentine's Day (snark, snark).
