We're goin' to the zoo, zoo, zoo, zoo...

Time for our monthly boy outing! This time, it was boys vs. Jacksonville Zoo. Thank you to chaperone Sissy (who is a mother of boys, now all grown-up...), we had infinate more fun because you came!

Let the wild rumpus begin!

Noah and Ryan experienced the zoo from strollers. The animals did not impress them too much. The merry-go-round did nothing for them. The playpark had no appeal. They were perfectly content to stare at the trees and nap. How easy are these boys?

What was Gavin's favorite things at the zoo? Well any kind of water "Oooh, look at the water," "Mama, there is some water over there," "I want to get in the water!" The merry-go-round was a BIG hit! "Go around, and around, and around..." And, of course, the train...

Dylan, Tyler, and Gavin had a grand time together... from the play park to the penguins! The Walden boys appreciate the Collins tour guides with "instructions."

What were Noah's favorite things at the zoo? Not quite sure, but we know he did NOT like the train whistle. Every time the train whistle blew, Noah screamed.

We are those neighbors!

We don't realize that living in city limits means shopping at the grocery store. Nope. We trudge a tiller through our backyard, throw down some slaps of wood, haul manure from the local livestock market, all in the name of gardening. Don't get me wrong, we are not hippies hoping to save the planet one victory garden at a time. I mean, the wood we are using is pressure treated (don't want it to rot!!!). That has to break all kinds of organic rules?!? And the amount of Skoal cans and ear tags we picked out of the manure... Lawd! Anyway, hopefully we will have a bean or two and a real, nice mater come summer!

Maw-maw and NW

As Gavin sowed his country roots, No-no "got sugars" from Maw-maw...

My Little Country Boy

Gavin loves all things tractor, animal, and well, dirty. Ahhh, boys... Almost every Sunday we spend the afternoon at Mom and Pop's house riding Carly and the Ford tractor (read: NOT a John Deere, as Gavin will be very quick to tell you).
