Control. That's what kids want. Control. Choices. Personal freedom. Certain things are ok to allow. For some reason, Gavin loves to wear a helmet. He wears it for bike rides, then never takes it off. Why would I care if he wants to go to the park, jump on the bed, eat dinner at a restaurant, or watch TV in his helmet?

Cake. We love cake. So we baked two. One for Mom and Pop. One for Pattycake and Poppa. And we decorated it. Happy Valentine's Day. Oh, and finger prints in the cake count as decoration.
